Bird Dog Field Care Workshop

Bird Dog Field Care Workshop

The Kinnickinnic Pheasants Forever Chapter is hosting a Bird Dog Field Care Workshop.  Join us at Pitchfork Brewing Company in Hudson, WI on Thursday, September 26th at 6:00pm.  Dr. Jennifer Belz, owner of the Kinnic Veterinary Service in River Falls, will be presenting.  Dr. Belz is a proud supporter of the Kinnickinnic Pheasants Forever Chapter.  There are two ticket options.  The first option is an event ticket and the second option is an event ticket that will include a Field Trauma Aid Kit.  The workshop is a great primer to have all this information fresh in your mind right before the start of the hunting season.  Some of the topics that will be covered include lacerations, tailgate inspections, environmental risks, what should be in your field kit and how to use it.

We look forward to seeing you at the event.  Come early, grab a beverage and pizza, share hunting stories, and brag about your dog with other attendees.

Youth

Youth

Welcome to the next generation in conservation and pheasant hunting enthusiasts. In efforts to help our younger generation play a larger role in our efforts to conserve and provide habitat for future generations, our chapter provides today's youth with opportunities to learn about what Pheasants Forever is truly about. Our chapter partners with local schools, holding educational pollinator events where students learn about the importance of habitat and assist in plating native seed. Every fall our chapter holds a youth game fair providing participants with a wide array of outdoor events, including a mentored pheasant hunt.

Habitat Projects

Kinnickinnic Pheasants Forever's members are truly passionate about creating, preserving and restoring habitat that benefits pheasants, quail and other upland wildlife. This unique model empowers local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally-raised conservation funds will be spent.  Projects for several area public lands are planned for spring of 2023.  Keep an eye the habitat section for details.
